Founded in 1959, Beijing Minzu Hotel was one of the ten major public buildings constructed to celebrate the tenth birthday of the People's Republic of China.
Minzu Hotel was built on the First Street in China - the Chang An Street in the center of Beijing. Forty years later, the elegant ambience still sets Minzu Hotel apart from the rest of newer hotel buildings in Beijing.
